Contents and Double Page Spread Guidelines

Contents

1. Multiple images
2. Elements - Editor's letter, subscription, contents divided into sections(gigs, albums, features)
3. Number of pages- weekly magazine - 60 pages (half being advertisements)
4. Page number for contents page - page 6
5. Don't do 24-28, just the starting page
6. Contents should reflect the cover stories
7. Not all content is on the contents page
8. Largest feature is the cover star
9. Cover star article should be around page 35-45, not at the beginning 

Double Page Spread

1. Use photo shop for photos and graphics - use publisher for columns of text
2. Magazine branding = logos and colours are the same across all three products
3. All text must be in columns
4. Drop Cap - the first big letter at the beginning of an article 
5. Margins and Borders around the edge of the page
